Is Muse getting dumber? A weekend post with that exact title lit up r/MuseAgent. The theory: big tech launches a great free product, then quietly swaps in a cheaper model to save money. The counterargument: the market reacted to Muse's success by throwing up roadblocks, so tasks that used to work now fail at the site instead of in the model. Amazon is blocking the agent. Walmart trips bot walls despite the partnership announcement. A Hilton booking looped until the user gave up and booked it himself. A Walgreens pharmacy answered a Muse call with "We don't speak to AI." Meta's answer arrived Tuesday: the Personal Agent Protocol, an open standard built with the agent startup Sierra, plus Shopify, Stripe and Walmart. Have you and your Muse worked around a recent roadblock? Share it in r/MuseAgent.
Muse to the rescue! After David Lee's mother fell, Muse sent him a ping before his message alert even arrived, with the phone number of where she was staying. He called it the type of experience that keeps you around.
PSP back from the dead: One builder ported the Muse Gadgets client to C so it runs natively on a PSP that had sat in a drawer for 15 years. Hold R, talk into the built-in mic, Muse answers. A Meta product lead shared it within 23 minutes.
Configuring an agent to your life takes time: Builder JJ Englert wrote the most honest adoption post of the week: week one he nearly walked away, week three he calls Muse the best personal agent on the market, and most people will quit before they get there.

Prompt of the week
u/mellofello808 gave Muse his most annoying chore: unsubscribe from marketing emails. It got him off 50 lists, then started deleting the old emails too. Copy this into Muse:
"Go through my inbox and unsubscribe me from every marketing email list you find."
Three more things to try
Resurrect old devices from the dead: u/TrophyWifeAspiration, who describes herself as a toddler level computer user, had a dying 2019 Dell desktop. Muse walked her through the repair over photos: diagnosing from screenshots, terminal commands, picking a new hard drive, cloning it, then pointing out which cables to pull. It booted straight into Windows.
Create a voter guide: u/knivesinmyeyes asked Muse to make sense of local candidates and their policies. It built a voter guide in a neutral format, even styled it to match the town. The thread sparked a real debate: should you trust an AI with your ballot? People landed on both sides.
Use Muse to stay hydrated: chinmay.karande built a weight sensing coaster that tracks water intake and nags about hydration. He knew none of the parts going in; Muse picked them from a plain description.
This week on r/MuseAgent
Coordinating all your agents together: u/arne226 bounces between Muse, Poke and Instinct, and got tired of granting every agent access to every tool. He built Personal Agent Proxy: connect accounts once, and every agent shares one layer.
Build games w/ your kids: u/TheRealJFranco's daughter loves a babysitting game, so they made "Griffy in Yellow" with Muse: full 3D in a single HTML file, playable in a phone browser. Four versions in a day.
Integrate Gemini into Muse: u/megabiteg connected a Gemini API key through Google AI Studio, where Google hands out API keys, so Muse can consult Gemini on heavy tasks or use it to save credits.

Muse of the week
This week's pick: Russ P, a red panda with all the motion.
Every week, r/MuseAgent runs a thread for showing off Muse avatars. Post yours and it might be next.
Features you might have missed
Muse remembers when meds are low: amy.wm.erz added a camera to her Muse gadget and told Muse a medicine's expiration date. Now it sets restock reminders and adds it to the shopping list on restock day.
The ultimate website builder: u/ai55am's setup: a VPS (a rented virtual server) with a domain pointed at it, an API key for Muse, GitHub connected. One prompt builds a site, pushes to GitHub, deploys to a subdomain.
Stay safe
Make Muse verify when handling large amounts of data: u/meeninta asked Muse to do a disk swap on his Unraid server setup. Muse created the new disk but never confirmed it showed up, saw /dev/sdb, assumed that was the new one, and formatted the 6TB data disk holding 1.92TB of media. Muse wrote an honest damage assessment and told him to stop the array immediately. The rebuild from the parity drive took 11 hours. The lesson: make Muse confirm exactly which disk is which before anything destructive, and keep parity or backups current.
That's issue three. Forward it to a friend, and reply to tell us what you're doing with Muse. See you next Sunday.
