The catch up

  • Ship home screen apps without coding. The r/MuseAgent thread "Muse made me an app for my phone" has a dozen non coders showing their daily opens: a retirement planner, a gym tracker, a Plaid spending tracker feeding Google Sheets. The gap they named: apps that save data cannot run outside the Muse app yet.

  • Sync Muse with Apple Reminders for free. One community member built a bridge on an always on Mac Mini plus a Muse hook that syncs both lists every 15 minutes without waking the agent. Text Muse on WhatsApp, see it on your iPhone minutes later. Free plan, basically zero tokens.

  • Save 20% on your Muse subscription. u/ImInundated's PSA: cancel App Store billing, wait for it to expire, then subscribe at muse.ai. Power is $16 a month direct versus $20 through Apple for the identical plan. While the Apple sub is still active the site refuses to manage it; that is normal, just wait for the expiry date.

  • Ship a real product with single line messages. A Redditor built and shipped MapGuesser, a daily geography game, entirely through Muse: "add a Natural Wonders mode with 150+ locations," "Fix it," "Deploy." Real users, Stripe subscriptions; he canceled his Claude Pro over it.

Prompt of the week

JJ Englert gave the internet the best prompt of the week: ask your agent to audit itself. His agent, Carl, answered honestly, including a promise to verify its own repairs and to stop preparing alerts it already sent. Copy this into Muse:

❝

Audit yourself. Suggest 10 things that you can do to improve how you serve me in a highly personalized, helpful and proactive way

Three more things to try

  • Turn Muse into a video studio. u/Due_Barnacle3504 shared a copy paste prompt: install free studio flow, dream up a two hour sci fi film, expand it into a shooting script with camera movement on every shot, then cut a three minute trailer as a finished video file.

  • Playtest a reader's 3D runner game. u/FadilHere built MUSLIYARKUTTI: MALABAR RUNNER, a Subway Surfers style endless runner set in Kerala, with a young Muslim moulavi as the player, local shops, traditional clothing, and a supernatural chase sequence. It runs in your browser, and the author is asking for feedback on how to improve it.

  • Give Muse better design taste. After testing Muse's natural design chops against Claude's, u/RevolcFael4 shared the resources file: Impeccable, Vercel's Web Design Guidelines, the Taste Skill, antislop, and more. The comment that stuck: "the problem was me. I never told it anything."

This week on r/MuseAgent

  • Join the biggest debate in the sub: Muse vs Dots. u/Forsaken_Rip208 asked whether Dots can handle everyday tasks as well as Muse, and the thread took off. The verdict leaned on price: "Muse is free. Dots are available on the $100/mo plan. No brainer." One reader runs both through a custom MCP server with a shared Todoist board. Go read it and pick a side.

  • See five ways readers make money with Muse. u/mrblue55 tested the claim: used car arbitrage, lead generation for roofers, websites for new businesses, underpriced land, undervalued businesses for sale. His thesis: the research and analysis saves so much time it pays for itself.

  • Decide what belongs in your Main Chat. u/yesthatdaniel's discussion asks how people split Main Chat vs Side Chats: Muse nudges you toward treating chats as project folders, adding to existing chats and letting them compact. He keeps one side chat for, in his words, random one off questions. Where do you draw the line?

Muse of the week

This week's muse: Starion by u/serlixcel, a cosmic being of nebula light with a star in its chest.

Features you might have missed

  • Get a private podcast in your Spotify. paxxlaws found the hidden "save to Spotify" feature: Muse researches a topic, writes a script, produces the episode with AI voices, and saves it as a private show in your library. Morning briefing, narrated summary, custom explainer.

  • Give your Muse persistent roles. Readers are setting up Grok Bot style roles inside Muse so it stays in character across sessions.

  • Let Muse make your phone calls. The phone feature is in staged rollout and users report it canceling insurance, handling authorizations, and negotiating a Sirius XM price.

Stay safe

  • Know what to do if your account gets suspended. A thread of users lost Muse at the same moment with no explanation and no official word. If it happens to you, use the ticket path; one user reports it took a week to resolve.

  • If Muse feels worse lately, check your Main Chat. Saturday's thread describes a strong first week sliding into errors and fast credit drain, with the top reply blaming Main Chat context compression. Readers suggest moving big projects to fresh side chats and keeping the Main Chat lean.

That's issue four. Forward it to a friend, and reply to tell us what you're doing with Muse. See you next Sunday.
